Dr. George Hathaway
grew up in Neenah and attended Neenah High School, St Olaf College and Marquette School of Dentistry. After dental school he served as a dentist and officer in the US Navy for four years and attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After discharge from the Navy, Dr. Hathaway practiced in Neenah for two years and then moved to Wisconsin Rapids where he assumed the practice of Dr. James Lownik. Dr. Hathaway currently lives on a hobby farm with his two daughters, Hannah and Sophie and their Wirehaired Pointing Griffin, Violet. Every Fall, Dr. Hathaway enters the pumpkin growing contest. His quest to grow a thousand pound pumpkin never ends, much to the chagrin of his daughters.
Dr. Hathaway has attended numerous general dental and orthodontic courses and currently utilizes INVISALIGN tooth straightening and ZOOM! bleaching techniques along with other technologies to help patients achieve the full potential of their smile. He is an active member of the Wisconsin Rapids Rotary Organization. Along with his assistant Julie, and hygienists Tami and Michele, he looks forward to helping you and your family with all of your dental concerns.
Dr. Mark Metz
graduated first in his class from Marquette Dental School. He has practiced and taught dentistry for over twenty-five years. In addition to being a General or Family Dentist, he is also a Board Qualified Specialist in Prosthodontics.
A Prosthodontist is a dentist that spends two additional years beyond Dental School for advanced training in the clinical treatment of patients needing Complete Dentures, Partial Dentures, Fixed Crown and Bridge and Implant Dentistry. Dr. Metz prefers to do his lab work himself in his own dental lab at Riverhill Dental. This includes making the permanent crowns, dentures, partial dentures or any other dental prosthesis. If you are having a problem with a denture of your own, Dr. Metz offers a free consultation.
You can find Dr. Metz on the soccer field with his daughter Rachel or running with his dogs on his off time.
Dr. Robert O’Connor
and his wife, Diane, moved to Wisconsin Rapids in 1976 to start his dental practice. He specializes in family practice, enjoying all age levels and a wide variety of dental procedures. . Dr. O’Connor is truly interested in each individual, and his warm, caring style and sense of humor put patients at ease. He enjoys being in a group practice and consulting with his partners on challenging cases. When his patients needs can best be served by a specialist, he does not hesitate to give a referral.
Over the past 32 years, he could be found behind the scenes throughout the community at everything from hockey to little league to ballet! With his four children grown, married, and rapidly multiplying, he enjoys interacting with his adult children and eight grandchildren!
Dr. O’Connor serves as a volunteer, playing his guitar on the worship team at Christian Life Fellowship. He is also a financial coach through Dave Ramsey’s Certified Financial Counseling Program.(oconnorcoaching.com) He facilitates Financial Peace University through CLF twice a year, and coaches people through debt reduction, offering encouragement and wise counsel.
Dr. O’Connor enjoys traveling, golfing, boating, and radio-controlled airplanes. He can often be found riding his Royal Star motorcycle, savoring the beautiful scenery here in central Wisconsin.
Dr. John Schoenwetter
comes from a family of dentists from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. He follows in the steps of his Father and Grandfather. Dr. Schoenwetter attended St. Norbert’s College, Marquette University, and Marquette Dental School. He continues his education through Pete Dawson’s Center for Advanced Study and keeps updated on the newest techniques and materials by attending numerous continuing education courses. He is a member of the Central Wisconsin Dental Society, Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
In his spare time, Dr. Schoenwetter enjoys spending time with his wife Diane of over forty years and the rest of his family. He loves fishing with his four grandchildren and hunting with his friends. Dr. Schoenwetter enjoys seeing adults and children of all ages and looks forward to serving your dental needs. He takes pride in quality care and exceptional patient satisfaction.
Dr. Mark Seifert
Seifert joined Riverhill in 1985. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Seifert enjoys providing all aspects of dental care including oral surgery and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Seifert and his wife, DeAnne, enjoy “country life” in Cranmoor, Wisconsin and any and all outdoor activities. They have two children, son Reed, and daughter, Lauren.
